This has been bugging me for the past 2 weeks. What we are asking teachers to do now is NOT true online/virtual learning. This is emergency virtual learning. As teachers we hold ourselves to these extremely high standards and right now, it needs to stop.

Our lessons are not going to be perfect, our kids will not be engaged for the entire time, nor will they complete the 100 page packet we sent home. They are as scared and as frustrated as we are.

We need to give ourselves some slack and keep reminding ourselves, we are human and can only do so much. We need to take a break, step outside (social distancing), and relax a little. Otherwise the next few months are just going to get harder.
